Balliceaux Doors 7:00pm | Stories 7:30pm
Throughout history exile has been reserved as a punishment for only the worst of crimes, potentially worse than death. It means you were alone, exposed, helpless and without the company and support of your kinsmen. The condemned was subject to the whim and whimsy of the chaotic universe.
What if you had a place, or people, or situation that was suddenly inaccessible. A place that no longer felt like home where you were suddenly on the outside looking in. We’re looking for stories of banishment, expulsion, deportation and enforced exclusion, times when you were no longer allowed within the boundaries of the hearth’s warm glow and had to strike out on your own.
We are currently taking submissions for this event.
Please contact us if you are interested in telling a story, have any ideas for future themes, or know of any local nonprofits that would benefit from some mic time at one of our events!
